My name is Christina Miller and I am the Founder of A Great Start Preschool and the Preschool Director. My husband and I live in Centerville. I have two children, Liz who is a 2013 graduate of Centerville High School, and Kyle who is a Freshman in college. I have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor's degree in Human Services Administration, and a Master's of Education Degree in Educational Leadership. I also hold a State of Ohio Teaching License in Pre-Kindergarten Education, and have over 20 years experience working with children. Throughout my educational career, I have become dedicated to educating the community about the long-term benefits of participation in a quality preschool program prior to entering kindergarten. Children are our future...if we teach them well, they will lead the way.

Ms. Karin has been with A Great Start Preschool since we opened our doors in 2004, first as a Preschool Parent, and in 2013 she became an employee! Karin has served as both a Substitute Teacher and a Teacher's Aide at AGSP. She has a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration and Foreign Languages. In addition to seeing her around the halls at AGSP, you might recognize her as an active sub in Kettering and Centerville schools, or on the sidelines at her kids sporting events.

Ms. Christa joined our staff in 2011. After working in the Mad River School District for a couple of years, Christa returned to AGSP. Christa has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Family Community Services from Michigan State University, and has been working with children for over 20 years. Christa and her husband reside in Bellbrook with their daughter.

I have had the opportunity to work with Beth since 1998, and she has been with AGSP since we opened in 2004. Beth has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has over 35 years experience working with all ages of children, and is excited to continue "Team Teaching" our Kindergarten program with Ms. Sharon again this year, in addition to our KinderStart program.

Ms. Sharon has been with AGSP since 2006. She has been involved in the Centerville Academic Volunteer and Literature Circle Programs. Sharon is a certified Orton -Gillingham tutor from an IMSLEC (International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council) accredited program, and tutors dyslexic children at the Children's Dyslexia Center, Valley of Dayton. Sharon has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and has over 20 years experience working with preschoolers as well as teaching kindergarten. In her free time, she enjoys dining out, especially Italian, and going to the movies with her family.

Krista is excited to be back for her second year as a Little Learners teacher at AGSP. She is a graduate of Wright State University and a member of the Beavercreek Board of Education. She actively volunteers as a PTO volunteer for her children's schools, Shoes4theShoeless, and in the Children's Ministry at her church, First Baptist Kettering. Krista lives in Beavercreek with her husband and two children, Hannah (6th Grade) and Ryan (3rd grade). Her kids play basketball and they are big fans of the UK Wildcats! Krista is looking forward to a great year with our Little Learners!

This is Ms. Chris's second year at AGSP! Chris has a degree in Early Childhood Education, and first began her preschool teaching career in 1989. After taking some time off to be at home with her 2 children, Chris is eager and excited to be teaching again! Chris and her family live in Centerville.

Please welcome Ms. Sally to A Great Start Preschool! Sally spent the past 13 years working at another local preschool, and is excited to join our team this year. Sally studied at Wright State University, and has over 45 State of Ohio Inservice Training Hours. She and her husband live in Bellbrook where they grew up and have enjoyed raising their 3 children. Sally loves cooking and spending her free time with friends and family.
Ms. Tracey, Smart Start Teacher

Ms. Tracey is very excited to return for her second year teaching at AGSP. She has been working in preschools since 2008 and her youngest of 3 sons is an AGSP graduate. Tracey attended Sinclair and Wright State majoring in Elementary Education. Tracey loves working with children, and is excited to be teaching in our Smart Start program again this year!

Ms. Cindy began teaching Preschool in 1991, and has a passion for Lesson Planning and Curriculum. Cindy majored in Early Childhood Education at Saddleback College in California, and has earned a Certificate of In-Service Training by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Bureau of Child Care and Development. Cindy and her family live in Beavercreek. This is Cindy's fourth year at AGSP.

Ms. Heather has been involved with AGSP since 2009 as a preschool parent, and this is her third year as an employee. Heather has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Education, with a major in Elementary Education and Special Education. Heather is the mom of 3 girls, all who have attended AGSP. You may recognize Heather as a preschool parent, as one of our previous Substitutes, and as an Instructor of two of our Extra-Curricular Classes. She is looking forward to teaching at AGSP 5 days again this school year!
Ms. Peggy, Preschool Plus Teacher

Ms. Peggy began her employment with AGSP as a substitute teacher in 2008, and soon moved into a permanent teaching role as a Smart Start and Preschool Plus teacher. Peggy has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, and has been teaching for almost 30 years. She also has experience as an Assistant Director and Director. In her free time, she enjoys walking, reading, shopping, and travelling.
Ms. Erica, Smart Start Teacher

Ms. Erica has been working for AGSP since January 2007, first as a substitute, and then as a Teacher in our Smart Start Program. She studied Education at The University of Toledo, and she is an active volunteer in the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools. After being on maternity leave for two years, Erica returned back to the classroom for the 15-16 school year. She is looking forward to teaching one of our Smart Start classes again this year.
Ms. Amy, KinderStart Teacher

Ms. Amy has been employed at AGSP since 2008. After taking a couple of years off to take care of her 6 children, she is excited to be back this year! Amy has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education.
Substitute Teaching Staff
From time to time, our teachers may need a session off. To continue to provide your children with quality education, we have a qualified team of substitutes to ensure a routine day. Sometimes our permanent staff members who work on an alternate schedule may substitute as well.
Ms. Melissa has worked at AGSP since 2007 as a Preschool Plus and Smart Start Teacher. Starting the 15-16 school year, Melissa moved into a Substitute role so that she could pursue a career in Real Estate. Melissa has over 20 years experience working with children through Church groups, as a Reading Tutor, Center Helper at a local elementary school, as a Nursery worker, and teaching in a Parent's Morning Out Program. Melissa has a Bachelor's degree in Business, and has earned a Certificate of In-Service Training by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Bureau of Child Care and Development.
Ms. Michelle has been subbing for AGSP since 2013. She has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, and more than 12 years teaching experience. Michelle is also a parent of an AGSP graduate and current preschooler.
Ms. Jackie We were very sad to say goodbye to Ms. Jackie this summer, as her family moved out of state. Ms. Jackie had been with AGSP since we opened our doors in 2004. She will be missed!
Ms. Pam, Little Learners Teacher from 2004-2015. With love laughter and lots of hugs, Ms Pam gave us 'a great start' and now is looking down from above. In remembrance of one of our founding teachers.
