My name is Christina Miller and I am the Founder and Preschool Director of A Great Start Preschool. My husband and I live in Centerville. I have two children, Liz who is a 2013 graduate of Centerville High School, and Kyle who is a Senior at The Ohio State University. I also have a new grandson that turned 1 in August! I have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor's degree in Human Services Administration, and a Master's of Education Degree in Educational Leadership. I also hold a State of Ohio Teaching License in Pre-Kindergarten Education, and have over 25 years experience working with children. Throughout my educational career, I have become dedicated to educating the community about the long-term benefits of participation in a quality preschool program prior to entering kindergarten.

I have had the pleasure of working with Beth since 1998, and she has been with AGSP since we opened in 2004. Beth has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has over 35 years experience working with all ages of children, and is excited to continue "Team Teaching" our Kindergarten program with Ms. Sharon again this year, in addition to our KinderStart program.
Ms. Sharon, Private Kindergarten Teacher

Ms. Sharon has been with AGSP since 2006. She has been involved in the Centerville Academic Volunteer and Literature Circle Programs. Sharon is a certified Orton-Gillingham tutor from an IMSLEC (International Multi-sensory Structured Language Education Council) accredited program, and tutors dyslexic children at the Children's Dyslexia Center, Valley of Dayton. Sharon has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and has over 20 years experience working with preschoolers as well as teaching kindergarten. In her free time, she enjoys dining out, especially Italian, and going to the movies with her family.

Ms. Noa Frank, joined our staff in 2017, and is excited to return again this year. Noa has a Bachelor's degree in Education, and recently graduated with a Master’s degree. She relocated to Ohio from Florida, and lives in Franklin with her husband and 2 puppies.

This is Ms. Chris's fifth year at AGSP! Chris has a degree in Early Childhood Education, and first began her preschool teaching career in 1989. After taking some time off to be at home with her 2 children, Chris loves teaching again! Chris and her family live in Centerville.
Ms. Sally, Preschool Plus Teacher

This is Ms. Sally's fourth school year at A Great Start Preschool! Sally spent 13 years working at another local preschool, and is looking forward to her third school year with AGSP. Sally studied at Wright State University, and has over 45 State of Ohio Inservice Training Hours. She and her husband live in Bellbrook where they grew up and have enjoyed raising their 3 children. Sally loves cooking and spending her free time with friends and family.

Ms. Tracey is very excited to return for her fifth year teaching at AGSP. She has been working in preschools since 2008 and her youngest of 3 sons is an AGSP graduate. Tracey attended Sinclair and Wright State majoring in Elementary Education. Tracey loves working with children, and is excited to be teaching in our Smart Start program again this year!

Please welcome Jenny Smith to AGSP! Jenny studied Early Childhood Education at Cincinnati Christian University, and most recently worked at Faircreek Church as the Preschool Coordinator. Jenny is excited to get back into the classroom, teaching Little Learners on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Jenny lives in Beavercreek with her husband and four children.

You may have seen Ms. Erika in our hallways during the past 8 years, first as a parent and then as a home daycare provider transporting some of our students to/from school. This year, Erika is joining us as one of our Little Learners Teachers and Teacher’s Aides! Erica has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and has been working with children for 20 years. Erika and her husband live in Centerville with their two daughters.

This is Ms. Katie's fifth year as part of the AGSP family. She first joined our family as a preschool parent, and this is her third year as a staff member. Katie teaches our KinderStart program on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, our Smart Start Program on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and is our Floating Teacher’s Aide in the afternoons. Katie has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Human and Social Development. She lives in Centerville with her husband and 2 children. Katie enjoys vacationing with her family in the Dominican Republic.
Ms. Peggy, Preschool Plus Teacher

Ms. Peggy began her employment with AGSP as a substitute teacher in 2008, and soon moved into a permanent teaching role as a Smart Start and Preschool Plus teacher. Peggy has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, and has been teaching for about 30 years. She also has experience as an Assistant Director and Director. In her free time, she enjoys walking, reading, shopping, and traveling.
Ms. Erica, Smart Start Teacher

Ms. Erica has been working for AGSP since January 2007, first as a substitute, and then as a Teacher in our Smart Start Program. She studied Education at The University of Toledo, and she is an active volunteer in the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools. After being on maternity leave for two years, Erica returned back to the classroom for the 15-16 school year. Erica and her husband live in Bellbrook with their 3 children.
Ms. Amy, KinderStart Teacher

Ms. Amy has been employed at AGSP since 2008. After taking a couple of years off to care for her 6 children, she returned to teach one of our KinderStart classes, and is excited for another great school year! Amy has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education.
Ms. Roberta, Teacher’s Aide

Ms. Roberta is our new Teacher’s Aide on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. She has worked as an aide in Centerville Schools, and at another preschool in Centerville, and in Gilbert Arizona! Roberta has 4 children and lives in Centerville with her husband and youngest daughter, who is a high school senior.
2019-2020 Updates: Ms. Cindy has moved out of the area, and Ms. Rebecca moved to Idaho. We wish both of them the best of luck in their new homes, and will miss them dearly!
Substitute Teaching Staff
From time to time, our teachers may need a session off. To continue to provide your children with quality education, we have a qualified team of substitutes to ensure a routine day. Sometimes our permanent staff members who work on an alternate schedule may substitute as well.
Please welcome Ms. Jennifer H. to AGSP! Jennifer will be subbing in various classrooms for the first half of the school year, and then will take over one of our rooms in January when one of our teachers goes on Maternity Leave. Shh…it’s a surprise! Jennifer has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and is excited to get back to her passion of teaching preschoolers!
Ms. Michelle has been subbing for AGSP since 2013. She has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, and more than 12 years teaching experience. Michelle is the proud mother of 3 girls.
Ms. Ginny joined our staff in 2017 as a Substitute, but has been a parent of AGSP preschoolers for 6 years! She has a passion for working with children and enjoys subbing in various positions at our school. Ginny lives in Centerville with her husband and 2 daughters.
Ms. Carrie has been a familiar face at AGSP for more than 9 years, first as a parent and then as a substitute. She has a Master's degree in Education, and a Bachelor's in Social Work. Each of her 4 children are graduates of A Great Start Preschool.
Ms. Karin has been with A Great Start Preschool since we opened our doors in 2004, first as a Preschool Parent, and in 2013 she became an employee! Karin has served as both a Substitute Teacher and a Teacher's Aide at AGSP. She has a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration and Foreign Languages. In addition to seeing her around the halls at AGSP, you might recognize her as an active sub in Kettering and Centerville schools, or on the sidelines at her 3 kids sporting events.
Ms. Krista joined our Sub Roster after teaching our Little Learners for almost 3 years, allowing flexibility in her schedule. She is a graduate of Wright State University and a member of the Beavercreek Board of Education. She actively volunteers as a PTO volunteer for her children's schools, Shoes4theShoeless, and in the Children's Ministry at her church, First Baptist Kettering.

Ms. Pam, Little Learners Teacher from 2004-2015. With love laughter and lots of hugs, Ms Pam gave us 'a great start' and now is looking down from above. In remembrance of one of our founding teachers.
